Recently I posted a blog called Laptop Lifestyle, where I not only talked about my new found obsession with my MacBook, but also about investing in your hobbies to create an even happier and enjoyable life.
Incase you missed it, you can read Laptop Lifestyle HERE.
So, last time I explained why we should keep investing in our hobbies or anything else that brings us joy. I mean, it only makes sense, right? If something makes you happy, keep doing it. If the thing that makes you happy is capable of growing, keep investing in it. Blogging is something I really enjoy, but I still have quite a few milestones to reach and goals to accomplish before I’m totally confident.
In my first Laptop Lifestyle blog, I mentioned one of my goals; upgrading my iPhone 7 to an iPhone 7 Plus, simply because I wanted (or needed) that camera. Whenever I try to brainstorm ideas for making this blog bigger, everything leads back to the first step; improving my photography. Filters can only go so far, and I was ready for the next step. So, yesterday I went ahead and got myself an iPhone 7 Plus.
..& Never Stop
Yesterday I had went into town to get some errands done, and the thought just popped into my head, go into the store and see what it takes to trade in your phone right now. I literally walked into that store on a whim, only looking to find out a price and then walk out with a plan in mind. Little did I know I would instead be walking out with my new phone only 25 mins later. I can’t stress enough, either, that this was a whim. I had no intention getting this phone, but it worked out, and it happened.
I try to keep a certain mindset. Basically, imagining a life where you have everything you want and being thankful that you have it (imaginatively), and then it will manifest into reality. Now, you probably thought that sentence was either 1. the stupidest thing you’ve ever heard or 2. just plain weird. But I’m telling you, it works. I gained this mindset superpower from Jen Sincero’s book, You Are A Badass. I also wrote a review about her book, you can hear about it HERE.
All I’m saying is, don’t stop investing. Don’t stop imagining, planning, putting in your time and effort into whatever it is you want to do. As long as you keep working at it, it’ll happen. Even if it only comes together one step at a time, it will come together.
It really wouldn’t be right if I ended this post without sharing some of the great photo’s I’ve taken, so please enjoy this little photoshoot I took with the family dogs.😊
